Eating and drinking in the surrounding area
Within a few minutes’ walk you can reach the restaurant "Leiter am Waal", the rustic farm inn "Schnalshuberhof", the restaurant "Mavie" and restaurant "Thedl "+pizzeria "Sem" (Hotel Botango).
By car you can reach numerous restaurants, such as the Brewery Garden Forst, and pizzerias in Algund and the surrounding area or use the evening bus that takes you to Algund, Forst or Vellau. In the immediate vicinity of our guesthouse, you find two bus stops.

With the "Südtirol GuestPass Algund" you have free admission to over 80 museums and collections in the entire region. Immerse yourself in the history of South Tyrol. Follow in the footsteps of Empress Sissi, discover the dreamlike gardens of Castle Trauttmansdorff and experience castles in the surrounding area, such as the Touriseum or Castle Juval, part of the Messner Mountain Museums.
Discover also the shopping experience in our garden village. In addition to numerous shops, such as speciality shops, a wine shop and handicraft art, you will find the Algo, one of the largest shopping centres in South Tyrol. There is also the most modern cinema in South Tyrol, the new "Cineplexx Algo". Everything is easily accessible by car, on foot, by bike or by bus. The ideal programme if you don't feel like hiking.
Day exursions
The location of our bed and breakfast is ideal for exploring South Tyrol and the neighbouring regions. Whether it's shopping in the provincial capital of Bolzano, a round trip in the fabulous Dolomites to the Schlern, Langkofel and Plattkofel, the Three Peaks, the Pragser wild lake, the Karrer lake or the sunken village in the Reschen lake. All desired destinations are easily accessible by car or also by public transport. You can also experience more distant destinations such as Garda Lake, Venice or theme parks such as Gardaland, Caneva World, Movieland, Sealife and much more during a day trip.

Our holiday house is situated in Oberplars at 550 m.a.s.l. near Algund close to Meran.

Via the Brenner Pass: Brenner motorway - Bolzano South exit - Mebo (Merano - Bolzano motorway) - Algund exit (last exit on the motorway)
or via Passo Resia: direction Merano - Rablà - Tel (turn left and follow the red route). - By bus:
every Saturday from March to November the South Tyrol and Merano Land Express departs - your bus connection to Merano Land from/to Munich and St. Gallen-Winterthur-Zurich - By public transport.

Our nearest airport is Bolzano. Fly to Bolzano comfortably and without stress. At the airport a car rental service will be waiting for you, at the advantageous prices starting from 290,00-€ per week for the car.
